Revving-up for 40 years:
Micky Bass celebrates 40 years as a “Reverend”

You may have noticed the name, Michael Bass as a member of the Management Committee and as joint winner of the 2006 Baglee Pairs competition.
But anyone who knows Micky as a gentle man of unfailing good humour, with time for everybody, will not be surprised to discover that his "Sunday name" is the Rev George Michael Bass.
Micky celebrated the 40th anniversary of his ordination as an Anglican priest, by conducting the morning worship at S Hilda's Church, Marden. The service was followed by a party for his family and friends.
For more than thirty years, Micky was an army chaplain, serving in Germany, Northern Ireland and the UK, moving from place to place with his wife, Jacqui and daughters, Katy and Helen.
He retired from the army in October 1994 to become Chaplain to North Tyneside General Hospital.
In June 2002, he retired for a second time to concentrate on his family (now including two grandchildren) and bowls (not necessarily in that order).
