Margaret floated the idea of a "book fair" in aid of club funds at the AGM, back in October 2005. Nobody thought that it would actually happen, but they reckoned without Margaret!
After weeks of organising, leafleting and baking, the fair opened its doors at 10.00 am on Saturday, 15 April and throughout the next two hours, a steady stream of people helped to raise a gratifying £525 for club funds.
Margaret would like to express her thanks to all those involved, especially to "none-Forthers" Margaret Metcalf, who helped with the cake stall and Peter Harrison, who looked after the tombola.
