38 Forth members and their guests attended the pre-Christmas meal at the Long Sands Restaurant.
A good time was had by all and there was much enthusiasm about a repeat performance in 2006. A number of members suggested next year's dinner should be followed by the presentation of the Club trophies.
The quote of the evening undoubtedly belongs to John Wilson, who looking around the room, said, wistfully: "If they could only play bowls as well as they can eat, we'd top all the league tables!"
- 9 December: Greetings to Frank Rutter, one of our most dedicated Australian "surfers", from sister, Margaret and all the folks at the Forth. Happy Christmas, Frank.
