The Northumberland County Bowling Association AGM was held on Sunday, 27th November 2005 at the Blue Flames clubhouse.
Members were sad to learn that the president elect, David Kirk had been rushed to hospital only hours before the meeting. David had suffered a mild heart attack. Get well soon, David!
Inter alia: Cowpen and Crofton Bowling Club was admitted to the association; and honorary life memberships were conferred on Stewart Borthwick and Tom Cleghorn.
An innovation this year was the method of voting: members were asked to wave their copy of the accounts in the air to signify approval. "This is the first time I've had any use for the accounts", said one voter!
